Leaving from Llachon a half – day option is available which takes you paddling along the shoreline to reach the point of the Capa Chica Peninsula, with underwater views of the shore-line –its rocks, algae and miniature marine life as well as views of local households and small docks. On return we will have a typical lunch waiting for us before continuing your program.

Located in the peninsula of Capa Chica, a two hour road-trip from Puno the ride in a vehicle through the back-country following the lakeshore is in itself a picturesque experience. Llachon can also be reached by boat from Puno. Leaving any day from our local dock located on the shores of Lake Titicaca in the community of Llachon, we set out with a guide to the Island of Takile.

Once in the water you will marvel at the clarity of the lake, with views of the crystal blue-green waters as we paddle along the shore and out to the island of Taquile – a unique sensation. We arrive at the Island, a chance to walk around the village and the ondulated and terraced landscape. A typical lunch on the shores of the lake before we paddle back to shore, plenty of photo opportunities.

SERVICES INCLUDED: We provide a double sea-kayak with skirt, paddle and a thermal top, a wet bag and booties. These can also be brought by participants. Lunch, bottled water and a guide accompany you the whole day. Boat supported for groups of more than six passengers and first aid kit.

SERVICES NOT INCLUDED: Gloves, Sun screen, hats, alcoholic beverages, clothes and shorts, extras, transportation to dock at Llachon and insurance, camera gear, toiletries.
