Explorandes, the leading adventure tour company in Peru, and Llachon Tur SRL, a family company belonging to local entrepreneur, Mr. Valentín Quispe Turpo, have set up a consortium, a form of partnership, to form Titikayak, developing a series of sea kayak routes, from short half-day excursions to expeditions lasting a week, always with a local support boat enabling us to operate at this altitude safely and with all the equipment that this type of adventure requires. In this Consortium, we help to bring these experiences in the different communities to the market, helping their inhabitants to provide the services that are required. Our project seeks to promote a singular and attractive activity on Lake Titicaca, but is also accessible to the beginner and provides a unique experience to visitors giving a unique perspective of the world’s highest navigable lake from the water itself, its principal attraction. 		Lake Titicaca is the world's highest navigable lake, lying at 3,810 m (12,500 ft) above sea level in the Andes Mountains in the border between Peru and Bolivia. With 8,559 km2, it holds as much as forty-one islands, some of them densely populated. It’s people have a long heritage of cultures & beliefs and still live the way their ancestors did hundreds of years ago, they welcome the visitor and proudly show them their way of life, inherited from their Inca and pre-Inca ancestors. to the top
		Our guides are mainly local, from Puno and Llachon, and are very familiar with the Lake, its flora, fauna and local cultures. They are well trained in sea kayaking safety procedures and rescue through a yearly course given by qualified instructors. to the top
		Depending on trip requests, accommodations can be made at a local community lodge or first class camping with the amazing Andean night sky as our roof. to the top
		All trips are boat-supported & led by qualified guides, the longer expeditions also include camping with tents, sleeping pads and all meals. During your sea kayaking trip we will provide you with stable easy to paddle, comfortable single and/or double (tandem) Perception Sea kayaks. Paddles, spray skirts, life jackets & safety equipment, NRS Paddle jackets, neoprene gloves and booties. to the top
